I know these pictures aren't the best, my chicks are now 7 weeks old, I am enclosing some pics of a few questionables, these chicks all usually hold their tails down (I don't have pics of tails just heads) so whatever anyone can guess is great, otherwise I will just play the waiting game, thanks! I fell behind on the thread, and while most of the pics just confuse me... lol, this one looks very much like a pullet. so... I hope it is! and Welcome to BYC!!!

on a side note... my beautiful 8 month 1 week old Silkie, Sillie Soo laid her very first egg with a shell today! I suspected she had started, I found icky wet evidence of soft shelled eggs in the nest over the past week, so I have been making certain she gets her share of calcium. it's a perfect little egg - alongside a medium Cuckoo Marans egg.

They look like pullets for ow, though I am leaning towards cockerel for chick 2 because of the comb.

I usually sex Silkies by looking at how large, round, and textured their combs are. Most roosters have large round and wide "raspberry textured" combs.
