silkie sexing

Hey all!

I live in the city and have someone coming to pick up my extra bearded silkie roosters today. I'm sure about the sex of all but 2, so I would love some advice on them. Here they are... 5 months old, the white/paint exhibits some rooster like behavior but no crowing.

PS. I'm new to this, sorry for the double post/ accidental thread start

First looks like a pullet to me but some side shots of both would help.

I want to play! I got three chicks from a guy who was uncertain who mom was for each chick. I think I have 1 silkie and 2 polish silkie crosses. They are about 7 weeks old. Any input is very appreciated

This is Pauline:

This is Harriette

And this is David (we think he is a cockerel)

Thanks for letting me play!

I'd guess #2 a pullet, #3 a rooster. I'm not sure on #1, stands alot like a cockerel but doesn't have the red coloring on the wing, I'm guessing pullet. But I'm no expert! I too enjoy the game!

I just got a silkie x cochin cross and named he/she Dumpling! We were supposed to just be getting adult layers but I couldn't resist this little chick.

I know he/she is a little young to tell the gender, but hey! Why not give it a guess? Here she is as of today. Sorry for the bad pics, this little one can't sit still!

Nugget got in the way of that one.. She's my 2 month old ameraucana.

Also, what coloration and age do you think Dumpling is? I'm thinking blue for the color but not sure on the age. Thoughts?

O no, I was replying to ash trees dark silkie. Looks like a pullet, yours booyebird look like my rooster silkie unfortunately. My tall skinny ones ended up being roosters , one white was a hen and one small grey was another hen. Got 3 roosters out of 5 chicks. All the roosters always tried to nip at me while the pullers always ran away. The boys has more of a Mohawk top to start off and my hens has more small poof on top. Good luck.
