When do streamers start showing up?

Mine started showing up around two months of age with this little guy I have now. At least that's what we are saying at three months of age now. Plus, the comb is getting big.

Just going by the comb, would say a cockerel. Cute little thing!

Mine are 10 weeks and no streamers yet. One is a little larger. Neither seem to have combs developing. Hoping for girls but not getting my hopes up.

I have 2 mine are also 10 wks . 1 has a comb and today I discovered a blackish/green hued tail feather.

Wonder where that feather came from?? Mine are hatchery birds. I will take pics tomorrow and post

I'm guessing that's a roo as well.

dstinett- mine had pretty obvious streamers by 8-10 weeks. I think it's alot harder with the non bearded silkies tho-I tend to think they're all roos!

Mine are bearded. I have another batch from ideal that are 3 weeks. Only 2out of 6 seem to have beards. I found out too late that Ideal is not known for their silkies. I complained a lot about my 2 older ones from privett they were in poor shape. With lots of extra care, I think I'm going to have 2 nice looking white bearded silkies. Ideally, I'll have a roo and a hen. That way I can at least breed to my ideal birds in hopes of getting more beards. Or, will their beards be very small?
