silkie sexing

I know it's too young to say, but doesn't this seem like a lot of comb for a 2.5 week old chick? It's ok with us if it's a roo, thankfully.

no :)

Those are great photos, but in that awkward teen stage its pretty much impossible to tell. You cant tell by wings though.

Thank you. It likes to be held and is quite cuddly, however-- it needed to be separated from our other chicks as it's aggressive and pecked our Polish's back bare, as well as our Salmon faverolle's neck raw. The aggression for a sweet breed, leads be toward rooster..

Ok I posted a month ago and was too soon to tell. I have strong feelings this is a cockerel but would love confirmation. This is 8 weeks old now:

I think he also looks like a roo too based on his swept back hat and noticeable wattle. However, I do have a silkie hen that has a swept back hat but she is definitely a girl (lays eggs and goes broody) so it's hard to say 100% certain

Here is a updated pic of my black silkie it was hatch on 12/31/14 I have maran roo that iam rehome on Tuesday
If the silkie is a roo the he go with him.

Thank you
