How old are they again?


Not sure I'm new to silkies myself and having some problems with sexing a few of my own but I would venture a guess that reaper is a roo frizz could go either way but again don't quote me on that.

8-9 weeks

Neither have much of a comb to speak of right? But I still like my guess of reaper boy frizz girl give it a couple weeks and post again if you want some more help that's what I've been doing with my buff

Any further guesses on mine? Chick #2 (pictured first, sorry, bit confusing) has loads of "pin feathers" on its head...not sure if that means anything but it's "pouff" is growing at quite a rate! Would appreciate further feedback

Chick 1 looks like a pullet to me and chick 2 looks like a rooster.

Looks like chick 2 could be a cockerel...keep an eye on those streamers, he's feathering in slow, but it looks like streamers coming in... 1 looks pullet so far..

They way he's standing, screams male to me.... Tail is more upright, big comb, can't tell on streamers lol, the lighting in the pic and their coloring makes it hard

Looks like chick 2 could be a cockerel...keep an eye on those streamers, he's feathering in slow, but it looks like streamers coming in... 1 looks pullet so far..

Many thanks...never had a silkie before, please could you elaborate on what streamers are? Also, any ideas what their colouring is classed as? Sorry for all the questions. ..
