I would say pullet at this point but very young.
I have a 6 month old silkie who I was not sure what it was. Very pretty black with silver leakage. Bearded so no wattles and no comb. Yesterday I saw/heard him crow. He was staying no matter what sex he turned out to be. So out of the 6 chicks I bought from a breeder in June: 2 partridge roosters, 2 black roosters, 1 black pullet and 1 gray (crossbeak) pullet. So 3 roosters to go to auction in the spring.

Where do you auction them? I just gave away the roos I got - 12 of them.

There are 2 spring auctions within a 1/2 hour from my house. 1 in April and 1 in May. Then 1 in September. The spring auctions are usually really good for sellers.
The fall auction is not as good for selling though. Good for buyers. But it works to cut numbers of roosters before winter.
