silkie sexing

Hi guys

I bought 2 silkies (approx.15 weeks old)yesterday & the breeder told me she was 95% sure they were girls.
Would be grateful if someone could confirm this or advise me otherwise. Don't wanna give a boy a girly name lol.

Both of them

Chicky B has more noticeable wattles & the comb has a reddish colour.
Any help would be great.

Thanks

B (The second bird) looks suspicious to me. I'm thinking possible rooster.

I'm sure it's too young to tell, but should I be worried that this is a cockerel based on the comb
development. This chick is about 4 weeks old

Also, no cockerel behavior at all

The saying goes with silkies
( from my breeder)

" til they crow or lay an egg, you'll never be sure!!"

My silkie got ribbons of feathers from the back of his head at 4 months ... now I know he's a rooster...... at least I think so

Not quite true... I went the "crazy chicken guy" route and sent my silkie chicks dna away for testing. It was 100% correct and was fun to know right away.
