I acquired these two silkies yesterday. They were a gift from my sister. They are supposed to be 4-5 months old. The lady that she purchased them from said that she thought the splash was a girl and the black a boy...or is it a girl...no, a boy I think. She finally settled on "they are either two pullets or one of each". As I have never dealt with this breed before, I really have no idea what to look for. They have no real detectable combs or wattles. Anyone care to help me out?








Edited to add: LOL I just realized that the thieving cat was eating the chicken feed whilst I took their pics.

All of my hens have very heavily feathered feet. Its a trait both genders should have...

No hard rule....both sexes could have.

Thank you. I had no intention of keeping any more roos until I got these. I was sooo hoping to get some little fluffies from them. It looks like I might have to source me a boy, maybe a blue.
