silkie sexing

I have 2 silkies in my mixed flock.. love them to pieces! They are 4.5 weeks, both the same size, and feathered out at about the same rate as my other heritage breeds (if that matters). Any idea of their sex? I was thinking the buff one might be male because of the head feathers, but then I read that you can't go by those feathers for sexing until around 4 months. I'm so confused..lol. also, what I the actual colour called of the "buff" one? Is it actually buff, or maybe partridge? Thanks!

I think the 'buff' is actually a partridge. As for gender I see nothing screaming cockerel yet but they are very young to accurately sex.

If their comb turns red around 4 weeks, are they definitely a roo?

Here is my Ethel at 5 and a half weeks. Thoughts?

See and I have been thinking the fluffy one is the cockerel. It acts like a roo....always last one in the coop. Like walks around to make sure no one is left. When they come out in the morning "fluffy" is the last one out and usually goes back in to make sure no ones left.
