Hmmm, I'm still not fully sure about the black. The "hat" is in between poofy and swept. I'm seeing some slight reddening in the wattles, but they aren't very visible. I'm leaning towards hen by the looks alone. But if you see it crow, it's a rooster. Once they start, they're sure to do it again. So keep watching them both and you'll know for sure pretty soon.
The blue has what looks like streamers, about 90% sure that one is male. Will the breeder maybe do an exchange?

Thank you for your input! I'm now calling him a he since he crowed 3 times in a row this morning. I'm betting there's no chance that it's a pullet acting like a rooster, huh. Lol. Not sure if the breeder will exchange but my husband said that as long as his crowing doesn't get too loud we can keep him. When do you think the blue one will start crowing..they are the same age.

If the blue is a rooster, and they're the same age, likely he will crow pretty soon. They usually get competitive with each other.

Maybe within the next 2 weeks? If not, it's possible it's just a large wattles, large combed, odd looking hen. I had a leghorn/silkie mix once which looked like a male for sure. I sold it with a group of cockerels to a family who wanted to free range them for ant control, but the family called to tell me the silkie mix had started laying eggs! Silkies and their mixes can be very tricky to sex.

That behavior makes me think, sadly, cockerel. Also, check out that cute little cockish rump. But that's just me going on what little I know of the little chook

I have 2 year old chicks and I'm getting more silkies. I wanted my silkies to be different colors. They only had white when I was looking. I will be getting my newer babies new week.
