I noticed today that my silkie sounds a bit congested at times and also appears to have some sort of liquid near her eyelids. I did give her some VetRX, but I was wondering if anyone might have an idea what this could possibly be? And a treatment for it?

You would need a test to confirm it, but mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG, CRD) can cause the foamy eye, congestion, conjunctivitis, and sinus infection. It is a lifelong disease, making most of the flock carriers for life, but symptoms can be treated with Tylosin, and a few other medicines. Dosage of Tylosin powder is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 3-5 days. Here is where to find it if you can’t get your vet to prescribe something:

Oh man D: that's not good. Thank you for the response, I'm going to look at that link. Where could they have caught this? I've not had this issue before. I hope she's okay, she's such a sweet girl.

EDIT:
Also, how would I go about doing the test? I don't have a vet to take her to, so I wouldn't be able to do it through that.
