Have babies thats have been hatching the past day, most were marked partridge, but I have 2 babies that appear to be porcelain. I am not disappointed in the least. lol

I wish my silkies loved to be held! Some don't mind, but none seem to love it!

So there was a frost last night, and my babies are 6-7 months old. They are fine being outside right? I have a light setup in my garage today in case they need to warm up. Is that a bad idea?

I got 2 dozen eggs from CJ this summer but had a lousy hatch rate due to my own fault (my humidity was way too high I guess, I didn't know about dry-incubating then. All but 5 or 7 of the eggs developed to full term, but then all but 4 died in the egg, so, I'm pretty sure it was my incubating.) ANYWAY, I got some lovely boys from the hatch. (All 4 that hatched turned out to be boys, lol.) Here are some pics of 3 of them..

I love them. They have the best personalities, I took them to a local event and there was constantly kids & people coming over to pet them. They LOVED it. They love being held and snuggled too. (Of course, don't all Silkies?

It's very pretty, but not lemon blue.

Well then someone should tell Bishop's Chickens on here BYC...as I bought the eggs from them and they are breeding Lemon Blues...
here they are...her name is Myra...all my girls are from the same eggs...

It's been repeated a number of times on the lemon blue cochin thread. Most don't want to hear it. And a few are breeding real lemon blues. Shouldn't be that hard to make them as brown red is a recognised colour for cochins. I for one am not going to

about a breed I don't raise.
