Silkie thread!

I have a 9 week old silkie I'm keeping indoors right now. Can you tell if it is male or female? Here it is beside its feather duster buddy and also up close.

My 4 Silkies are 14 weeks old. Only one is crowing. He's been crowing for the last few weeks. Can I assume the others are girls? Pictures are in earlier posts.

(Of course, the one crowing is not breeding quality with only 4 toes.)
 
Yes....as you are around them longer, you can kind of start to pick out differences earlier but even then you have some that will fool you! You can kind of tell with the tail having more hard tail feathers in the boys and the girls have a more rounder fuller topknot but with a really good quality silkie even that can fool you so it is best to wait for a crow or an egg to be more accurate with the sex.
