Silkie thread!

We got 4 silly silkies and they are about 10 weeks old. We have had them in the house and in an outdoor day pen. We decided to try to integrate them with the big girls (various breeds) even though I was worried they'd be picked on. Well, no need to worry. The older girls came over to check them out, walked around them a bit and stared them down. And that was it! I don't think they knew those silkies were actually chickens! And the silkies, I guess because they can't see that well with their poof, just stood there staring back. Hilarious! I'm addicted.

fluffy cuteness (2 whites and 2 partidge?)

Those are the cutest thing I have ever seen. Got to get me some after heart surgery Monday and I get better. I love the white one especially but now am beginning too love all the colors

Thanks! They are the best breed! I was just taking a tom of pics for my new website so I figured I would post some here as well!

Mema- I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you get some soon! They are such a joy! The whites are stunning!

Some questions: Are these birds reticient? My new pullets are quiet and shy. They keep to themselves. The rest of the birds are buff orpingtons, one silkie EE cross and one silkie EE cross roo, one gold laced wyandotte (who is kind'a bullying but not overtly aggressive). Will they become more comfortable with time?

The first few are porcleains (project pen), then lavenders, and in the last pic is a blue and a black.

As for their personalities mine are shy and quiet, but vert sweet. They love to be pampered!
