Hi everyone, I don't post a lot, but I wanted to share pics of my beautiful Paint Silkies. Hubby bought them for my birthday- two are Showgirls, which is even more exciting for me! I love them to death, such a cool color! Some are much spottier than others.

And then there are the others I love to share...

I had a rough time with my first silkie hatch.
Only two made out of 7 or so, and one, like yours, suffocated - under it's mom.
But I did get Cloud from that batch.

I still had Silkie fever pretty bad, so that's why I've purchased 3 starter birds in the past 2 months.

Greetings! I'm hoping someone can direct me in the right direction. My 10 year old lil girl is in love with silkies. She is in 4-H and is wanting to show them. We were fortunate to adopt a beautiful black roo at the Ohio Nationals to go along with her lil hen, penguin. While at the Ohio Nationals, she also adopted a pretty lil buff roo. For Christmas, all she is asking for is a buff silkie hen as pretty as her roo, Honey. I hoping to buy a hen for Parker to find under the Christmas Tree Christmas morning. HAHA--I have even hired a sitter to keep the bird until Christmas eve.

If there is anyone in NW Ohio that has Buff silkies for sale? I am willing to drive up to 3 hours one way to pick up Parker's Christmas gift. This will take me to down to the Columbus Area, up to the Detroit Area, over to the Cleveland Area, and over to Anderson Indiana.

Does anyone know of a breeder of buff silkies within this range?

I hope you find a Silkie for your daughter. Perfect Christmas gift, IMO!
