Silkie thread!

Lavender would turn the red much lighter, as well as giving a lighter head. That is not lavender, it is a lighter shade of blue. She may possibly carry one copy of lavender, but certainly not two, which means it has no affect on appearance. She is not really any particular variety; that said, she is VERY pretty! Closest I could come would be blue or splash partridge, but I am not certain whether there is penciling or not. In some of your photos it seems to not be present, and in others it looks like it is...always easier to see when in person.

Comb looks perfect to me. Both in colour and in shape. Other than that, I agree back is too long, and tail is too short--should have more "POOF!"

Only you can decide whether he fits your goals or not. I know you have trouble getting silkies, so he may be the right bird for you at this point in time. If you are using him for breeding, you need ot pair him with a hen who counters his faults.

Could someone please help me identify the color of this chick. A few others and I have been debating it in another thread. I have been told blue (but I don't believe they have brown on them?), porcelain, and calico. S/he came from a pair of white silkies. S/he looks nothing like they did when they were chicks. S/he also has a sister (I'm hoping) that just hatched out.. S/he hasn't completely fluffed out, so I'm not going to question her color just yet.
