Your silkies are really gorgeous!!My silkies have grown up so much! I love them they are one of my most favorite breeds! My silkie hen recently went broody :/ I want to buy some hatching eggs to hatch for easter. Very excited! I hope to get an assortment of colors. Here's some pics of our 2 silkies, Puffy & Malibu!
Puffy the 7 month old grey silkie....he has an adorable crow!

Malibu my 10 month old silkie pullet. She is broody but I closed her nest off. Malibu had her crest trimmed b/c I wanted her to be able to see better.
Silkies are great pets! I would love more. My silkies came from Dylan's Silkies, they have beautiful silkies!
It would have to be that one or both parents carry the gene, that is masked by black. Are you getting all silver partridge /grey chicks or black chicks as well?
I am so excited! I just ordered my 6 silkie chicks from CJ. These are our first ever chickens and the kiddos and I just can't wait til they are here. I so enjoy looking at all of your beautiful little ones. Thanks for sharing them with us while we wait!!
Hi, I have a question on silkie color genetics. I have five silkies that are almost mature and Im trying to figure out which roosters to use. My hens are a buff and a silver partridge. The roosters are porcelain (my favorite color), calico, and black. I'm not going for approved colors, just wondering what the different combos would create...
