Silkie thread!

Well every Silkie I have are a lot vogger than her. i even got her from mcmurray hatchery at the same time as the others. Do you think she maybe just a runt.

My silkies have grown up so much! I love them they are one of my most favorite breeds! My silkie hen recently went broody :/ I want to buy some hatching eggs to hatch for easter. Very excited! I hope to get an assortment of colors. Here's some pics of our 2 silkies, Puffy & Malibu!

Malibu my 10 month old silkie pullet. She is broody but I closed her nest off. Malibu had her crest trimmed b/c I wanted her to be able to see better.
Silkies are great pets! I would love more. My silkies came from Dylan's Silkies, they have beautiful silkies!

Here is Victor ! He is very amusing .

I am expecting a delivery of splash silkie Hatching eggs. Won't it be wonderful if I get some babies from eggs that have traveled 3000 miles or more by the US postal service !
Now that I have Victor I am sure I'll never have enough !

It turns out that 4 of seven are greys and the other are black.

It would have to be that one or both parents carry the gene, that is masked by black. Are you getting all silver partridge /grey chicks or black chicks as well?

Hi, I have a question on silkie color genetics. I have five silkies that are almost mature and Im trying to figure out which roosters to use. My hens are a buff and a silver partridge. The roosters are porcelain (my favorite color), calico, and black. I'm not going for approved colors, just wondering what the different combos would create...
