Silkie thread!

The babies ventured out into the run today. It was their first day mixed in with the big chickens. All went well! (I did stay out and keep an eye on them. The big chickens just seemed confused by the little cheeps. Sillies.)

The tiny baby to the left in this picture would NOT stay with the others. It's cold out there today and the others pretty much stayed in a clump. This little doof wanted to explore though. I kept shooing her back to the group and she would zip back around to where she wanted to be. She's probably a rooster.

As the rest of the country seems to be getting all the SNOW--the front range of Colo has had at most a dusting. Mine were out this weekend getting pumpkin pie & cooked squash treats

Amy, my parents are gonna start to let me hatch in JAN so when my chicks hatch ill let you know so ill just pop those silkies in the brooder with my phoenixes
