Hey everyone, had my 2 silkies and my silkie cross out today in the new coop. We are letting them spend a little time out there only during the day. The lil silkie is too small in my opinion, plus we haven't finished the landscaping yet around the coop, so technically its not totally critter proof. We are waiting for the sprinkler system install to be over! Anyways, I was looking at my Silkie, Einstein, and thinking...it really isn't white when its outside. Almost looks grayish, or with grayish hairs in the white. It was't really noticeable until it stood beside the white cochin silkie cross. So here are the updated pics.
7 weeks old today. Here is Einstein with hatch mate Scrambled.

Close-up of Einsteins comb (or lack of). Can you see the grayish hairs/feathers on its head?

Here is Scambled, getting feathers finally! And growing a lot. It still doesn't stand up strait all the time, making it look really tiny!

So let me know what you think!
