Chick-N-Laws.............. Vegas is home!! He is such a handsome guy. He is doing well, I gave him some gamebird feed and some vit/electro water. Watched him for about an hour and had to go work.

I so do not want to be at work right now.

He is even better than I imagined. I will give him a bath this weekend if the weather is nice. It gets pretty cold here at night and I do not want him getting chilled.

Sunshine..... You have amazing Silkies. I am so happy to have him.

I wish mine weren't broody! I have NINE broodies right now. Two cochin and 7 silkies!

I had 4 broody and they broke their broodiness pretty quickly (3-4 days) when I put them in a large wire dog crate (I cut hardware cloth for the bottom...nothing else) and put it up on a small pallet. The air circulating around them stopped their brood quickly. I had one hold out....my white silkie hen...and she enjoyed an extra couple of days in there. As soon as she quit going back to the nesting box when I let her out, she got to stay out.

Now...if they would hurry up and start laying again.

That's funny, Judy!!! I've got 5 on hardware cloth now. None of my colors all lay at the same time. Whenever the whites start goin good, the splash and blues go broody...then vise-versa!!!!! That's ok though,,,come to my farm and you will see a 52 year old women playing with them like they are dolls!!!!! LOL
