Silkie thread!

Okay guys here are my two 21/2 month old silkies. Any ideas to the sex of them. Sorry about the blurriness on a few, they wouldn't pose for the camera

AT two and a half months its really early....I would not nor could not hazard a guess on the dark blue/black ??? bird







The blue partridge is a boy most likely, with the red leakage coming in the wings and chest. its a very boyish color/characteristic

Thanks I hope the partridge is a boy also, I think my bluish one may be a pullet, she just seems to have just such a sweet quiet demeanor, guess I will wait and see. She will be 3 months on the 8th of August. I wasn't sure how early is too early I love the partridges, I have two splash ladies who were show birds. If it was up to them they would have the whole coop to themselves, lol.

what color is this? Is this Lavender? I have a bird that is this same color, but she came out of a Splash X Blue breeding. I'm wondering why her spots haven't come in yet.

ETA--- of course, mine could be a really, really light blue!

She is not lav but just a really dilute/light blue - who I got the eggs she came from didn't have any lavs.

Thank you....this family is getting out of the whites, and they are just asking $100 for the trio. If they are pretty decent w/out DQ's (which I think they are) it will be more than worth it to me. They will be my first adults, as all I have now are 4 chicks with some more hopefully hatching around Friday.

If they don't have DQ's and aren't old, that is a fantastic price!

My poor girl is soooo lonely! Sherb just gets prettier and prettier! Is he doing his job yet? He's so round I bet he'll have a little trouble.

you can tell in person, shes got a darker neck...and just some darker shades here and there. Shes gorgeous though, I am going to put her under Sherb and see what happens. lol

Sherb has been getting his groove on, and he seems to do a good job. I had atleast 1 chick out of him, one that was coming in 'splash partridge' but at about 2 weeks old I lost it I was very upset!

ME too!! Isn't that interesting how light those blues go! It totally looks lavender to me!
