Hi everyone I'm looking for help on colors. These are my first silkies. They are 9 weeks old. Thanks for any guesses or expert opinions :)

Standard (correct name) Gray or also called Silver Partridge - pretty sure its a girl too.

Partridge/Blue partridge - boy on left female on right I bet

Blue partridge girl and I LOVE her - She should come live with me ;) lol

White or diluted splash, behind that one a lightblue and either darkblue/black

Partridge/blue partridge can't tell gender for sure but guessing girl

your first one is a silver partridge the 2 in the 2 pic looks like a partridge, the third pic the one in the front looks like a white the second one looks like a splash and third looks like a black one.
Also the last pic is hard to tell I would say partridge or silver partridge.
Also where did u get them???

Chick in the burbs
Your chick has to be a splash I have one like that!!! :weee

Thanks! So it's between blue and splash. Splash is more likely since the dad of two of the eggs was splash. I will probably post again in a month for an better idea. All I know right now is that they are super cute and the best at slipping under Momma's feathers! I swear, whenever I go out there the three mix babies come right out and ignore me. The silkies size me up from under Summer's feathers or stay to the back of the crate. Maybe it's just that they are a day younger than the mix babies.

For some reason, the genetic chart gives me a brain cramp. LOL
We are looking for a way to maximize our color options and keep only 2 pens.  BBS and White.  I can understand why you would love them :)

Here are some of the notes I have been taking:

Black x black = 100% black
Black x blue = 50% black, 50% blue
Black x splash = 100% blue

Blue x blue = 50% blue, 25% black, 25% splash
Blue x splash = 50% blue, 50% splash

Splash x splash = 100% splash that dilutes over time, need black bred back w/splash

Buff x buff = 100% buff

White x white = 100% white
White x any other color = is unpredictable

Dominant white bred to partridge gives you Red Pyle

Isabelle = breed Lavendar to buff, then take chicks and breed back to Lav.

Lavendar = lav x lav

Lav x split lav (black w/lav gene) = 50% lav, 50% split

Black lav split is a black bird carrying a recessive Lavendar gene
