Got some pics of my girls today

It's real windy so they don't want to come out. This is my splash, who somehow came in 4th of 5 splash pullets at our first show sunday

She lost out on 3rd to a pullet with slipped wings

... That show was a JOKE.

That's is unfortunate! I just don't understand judges sometimes. She has a nice type. Especially in her front.

well I would have been more understanding, it being my first show and all and I don't have the experience the judges do, if it wasn't for almost all of the silkies there were disgusting! They looked like they hadn't been prepped at all and were covered in poop and greasy looking. The one who won of the splash pullets belonged to the person who was helping the judge and she was boasting about how great she is the whole time and the judge was like "I LOVE this girl!"

She was really dark, here is a picture. She is on the right, the slipped wing pullet is on the left. Most of the silkies that ranked high had bonnet crests too which was annoying since that isn't the standard.

Thank you I love her and she is the fullest fluffiest of my group.... No egg yet but she did a full on hit the deck squat this morning as I approached!!! ANY day now..... tick tock

It's official Tiger is a GIRL .... the squatting was no fluke and I now have EGGs to prove it!!!!!! Its the one on the right..... The top one is my Frizzle bantam cochin hen for comparison ..... This is egg #3!!! The first one was REALLY pointy and now they have become very round and squat ..... Hmmm how many more eggs will she lay before she goes broody .......

Did I mention I'm SOOO Excited??? This is my 1st Silkie egg after a few failed attempts at a hen ..... PHEW!!!!

quick q yall how do u get a columbian silkie and if u bred a silkie to another type of chicken like a blrw and then rebred to a silkie each time will it look more like a silkie but with the same markings??? ahhhh so confusing yet so exciting!!!!!

I have no idea I just bought mine from a lady and just found out ones a Columbian just gonna breed to my silkies Im new to LOL

If this is a boy, I'd give him a chance. He has a better beard than your first one, and could turn out to be a better quality silkie. I'd wait to see, and compare.

Colouring is not as good as your first boy.

Will a boy still try to mount another one when they first reach maturity or do they know the difference. I ask this because my male colombian was trying to mount the one that I hope is a girl but could still be a boy. I don't know what to do if I have another boy other than rehome him, I already have 4 out of 13 total.
