Silkie thread!

For some reason I wrote paint even though I know she is a splash. I guess I need another cup of coffee.:D   We think she is very pretty. Of course we love ALL of our chickens. I do think that we favor our silkies, sizzles, and cochins the most though. But on the weekends and at bed time my kids and I go out and play with all our chickens. We make sure they all know how much we love them.
Even though you wrote paint, I read splash. We both need coffees.

Quote: There are multiple causes for twisted beaks, and people tend to focus only on what they have personally experienced. I can't tell from the photo (because of the way she is holding her head) how severely it is tweaked. It is good that both top and bottom align. I would suggest holding her so her beak is at your eye level and trying to determine how many planes it is twisted in. If only one (to the side), go ahead and try a test breeding if you wish (as described above). If more than one (to the side and also tilted/screwed), then I would not even chance it.

Also, she looks splash, not paint from what I can see.

Sounds like it. As I wrote it and read it I read splash.

:thumbsup

Can you tell how twisted my girl's beak is? I was given her for free, so no complaining.

Well, your -20 is a lot warmer than my -20, as is your 100!

Believe it or not, I was talking your temperatures. ;) We get -40 here (which is exactly the same in both). I just can't stand that heat. It makes me grumpy.

Not only that, but us Canadians tend to strip off our clothes if it gets any higher than 90. Especially if we don't have AC. Which we don't. My fiance did chores in her underware a few times this summer. It was unseasonably warm. I think the hottest it got was 35 (ie: 95)
