Silkie thread!

That's the hardest part of being a mom, seeing sweet little ones coping with these heartbreaking situations. I can still picture my son at that age, so sweet and innocent. Thinking about this makes me want to hop in the car, drive to his college and give him a big hug!
Thanks for asking about our silkies. One is doing well and the other three are surviving but not thriving. I'm trying to work my "mom magic" on them with extra nurturing and caregiving. Even though quarantine time is officially over...they came from a warmer climate, and make end up spending the winter in my house. Their immune systems are too compromised to be put outside in the coop with the cold NY temps.

It is going to take them a while to recover, but they couldn't have find a better mom than you... that is for sure!

Most are not, unless they say so.  My Wal-Mart just started carrying "Unfiltered, raw, unpasteurized, with the Mother" Apple Cider Vinegar by Heinz.  I was relieved to see it there so I didn't have to pay more at a health food store.

ahh!!!!! guess imma have to go to the store and get some unpasturized-so the regular dont work? wat about for wry neck?

If you have regular ACV, add some of the new stuff with the mother in it, and you will make your own :)

I buy organic ACV.

ACV is not known to help cure wry neck. However, it will help with the overall health of the bird.

Braggs is another common brand of organic ACV, which my local grocery store is starting to carry. It's hidden in the natural food section instead of with the regular vinegars.

Aoxa,
Are you feeding your silkies the fermented feed? Do you see a positive change in them? I subscribed to the Fermented Feed thread but just haven't had time to get past the first few pages.
