Silkie thread!

Yeah, I'll definitely try and check Boy George's beak next time I decide to brave the cold longer than just sending them water etc LOL. Brrr, it is supposed to be a cold couple of days~

Yes they do, my friend will be there selling some silkie chicks. Her stock is gorgeous! Ice is from her BBS pen, she is only going to be 5 months when we go. Make sure to check out the northeast poultry congress thread to find out how we are all going to find one another.

Ice is beautiful.

I'll make sure to check out the congress thread. I'd love to find a hen or two for my splash cockerel. I might have to give up some of my PQ birds in order to do so.

Rainbow [email protected].......just found this on an old thread......hope it helps.

I am curious, why the negative discussion? I raise beautiful, NPIP silkies, in 14 colors. Seven standard and 7 AOV. I have also small breeding flocks of sizzles, frizzled, and naked necks also in separate barns.I have dear Claude McAllister's sizzles and frizzles/Seven Oaks Game Farm. He passed away from ALS. Claude to rehome all of his goregous birds when he became ill, before ALS killed him. I've bred silkies seriously for 20 years, breeding beautiful silkies to the standard is my passion. I sponsor cash awards for youth, used to pay for the ribbons until cash was preferred, easier for our MI club. Youth are our future of our fancy, and I put my money where my mouth is, not just into my silkies. Bill Bowman I used to work together with serious, low income youth, and presented these youth with a free mentoring show silkie or two. Many silkies that have went on to win BB and RF. I sell my silkies reasonably which is a thorn in the side of several breeders. I'd like to know what your problem is, that my name is being freely disparaged. I sell eggs once in awhile and am doing so right now. I do not sell new-hatched or young chicks. I do sell my extras when I have them. If my silkies are pet quality or breeder quality, they are truthfully labeled so. So what is going on? Would you please share with me? I'd be suspect of people who put another breeder down, especially when the breeder spoken of raises gorgeous silkies. cathryntherese rainbowsilkies TM Michigan [email protected]

What page did you find these comments? It may have been a long time ago and the people who were saying the negative things about you may not be on this thread anymore

That's one of Rainbow Silkies birds.. The breeder's name is Kathryn here in Michigan.

Yes, that is my silkie pullet at 4 months of age. She is a 3rd generation cross of red to UK lavender also known as Pearl Gray. I bought reds and lavenders back in 93/94. An elderly man by Brighton MI, had lavenders he'd imported with a friend, and Amos Rovey in Litchfield IL, had the reds. I love my pink porcelains and regular porcelains because their colors are gentle are on the eyes. [email protected] rainbowsilkiesTM Michigan
