Hi Gina Here are Catdance babies... love your splash roo So I posted my roos on CL and haven't gotten any interest and I say I'm gonna cull but I figured out today that I just can't cull any silkies....other birds yes but not my silkies! Looks like I ended up with a couple of paints, a buff, a partridge and a couple of whites. I will be looking for blacks and blues next year if you have any eggs....

Very cute! I'm so glad you didn't cull the splash I think he's adorable! And smaller is good. Did you put pictures with your Craig's list adds? I'm surprised no one grabbed him up.

In Silkies have chocolate, paint, blue partridge, partridge, buff, splash, calico (or tortoiseshell), blue, black. lavender, porcelain - seems like I am forgetting someone.

I have Seramas also and lavender Ameraucanas.

I was told that the mouse brown color is actually chinchilla grey, which is in the grey description.

The feathers are already torn   You don't need to really worry about shredded feathers, they need to be shredded. It's in the SOP, well shredded feathers. You don't press hard though, you don't want to pull feathers out, just lightly brush backwards to fluff her up.

The link I posted has one that they call mouse brown. It looks like a form of grey.

okay yeah after looking up some pictures definitely grey.

Looks like a pretty little gray to me.

If your talking about chickens, instead of gray, you say blue. Looks Partridge-ish to me.

Gray is a variety of silkie, as is blue.
