Mine haven't either! My first broody was a columbian wyandotte. Supposedly, they are a broody breed. Hmmmm.

I agree I have 4 silkies in one pen and if I want to hatch out eggs they will all go broody and sometimes piles 2 hens at a time on the eggs and will raise as many babies as I give them even if they are from another pen!How old are your chicks? Pullets fool around too until they get a little older.
You must have some oddball silkies because ours go broody all the time and I hear lots of chicken people recommend silkies for broodies all the time.
