The expression and the little head tilt. And the ribbon looks like purple horns. lol The cutest thing ever!
That's some of that ribbon that you run between scissors and your thumb to make it curly. I couldn't find anything small enough to work. She listens to everything I say and she just leans into my hand. She is just killing me!!!

Me too! Such a great pic!
Thank you. It is the subject believe me!!!

I agree I have 4 silkies in one pen and if I want to hatch out eggs they will all go broody and sometimes piles 2 hens at a time on the eggs and will raise as many babies as I give them even if they are from another pen!
Sounds like our girls.

Where can I find silkies near Los Angeles I am new and want to start with silkies as my 1st bird if anyone can help I would appreciate it

I am new to having my own chickens, my only other experience is on Aunts and Uncles farms. My coop is half way built (doing it myself) it will house 6-10. I'm trying to decide on my starter flock, all in the docile group. Will silkies get along with other hens, do they mix well? I want good egg producers, so I need different hens in the mix than silkies.

I didn't mean to scare you by mentioning gapeworm. I thought you were asking for the name of what has been discussed in the past. I'm sorry to have worried you. :-(
You may be able to contact the breeders who list eggs for sale here on Backyard Chickens and ask about purchasing the quantity you desire. Sometimes you can work together with a breeder. You could also post something on your local Craigslist and may find someone near you.
I still can't get over the amazing heart shape of your bird.

Yeah really heart shaped, lovely
