Love it! Happy Easter!

They are so darn cute! What is going on with Buck?

So cute! Glad Marsala and General are doing well. I too was wondering what's wrong with Buck?
Buck got the short end of the genetics stick. He has a wry tail, curved spine(does not affect ability to walk around) and his lower beak is too long and both top and bottom beaks need trimmed from time to time. He will likely never be able to pick grass. I am working on switching him to wet feed then to FF. He went out on grass for the first time today. He didn't quite know what to think, just kept snuggling up against my legs. He is super docile, loves being petted and is going to be a wonderful pet.

Looking for an new food, got a question

If i'm planning on fermenting my feed, can I use one with fish meal? So far every organic and soy free feeds I have found have some sort of animal protein in them and I know mumsy(I think it was her) said it will stink if it's fermented.

I would be careful with anything that has a fishy smell.a friend was using feed with added omega 3s and the eggs were so fishy they couldn't eat them. Fwiw, of course.

Those hen saddles (or aprons) are SO cute! I really need to get one for one of my silkie girls. She is the rooster's favorite and her feathers are thinning out on her back.

Haha, I need a turkey sized one. My royal palm hen has thinning feathers on her back as well from the tom's treading. I do not think she would tolerate a saddle or apron too much, however

These are dresses for dogs

XS fits them perfectly! As for saddles, they don't seem to mind them, I think a turkey would be fine with them. But I don't know if they make saddles large enough so I would look into XL dog dresses with the large arm holes like these ones, they may fit much better!

Can someone tell me at what age do Silkies start laying? I was told my girls are about 12 weeks old.. Thank you

I have only 1 silkie girl in my flock and she has totally surprised me! She was the first out of all the breeds I have to give me my first egg at barely 20 weeks and has since also laid me the most eggs, although my EE is not far behind. She did lay one somewhat soft-shelled egg, but all the rest have been very healthy!
