Silkie thread!

Our azaleas are in full bloom, so I had to pose one of my girls against them

you could try her on some medications and a less dusty shavings and maube put her on some grass
I wouldn't go straight to medications, if she's fine and you need them in the future they may not work when she is actually sick. If there is no discharge from ehr eyes or nose I would suggest using sand in her cage rather than shavings. Silkies seem to be more sensitive to them. Also, their crest feathers make them sneeze a lot, picture someone tickling your nose with a feather all day everyday!

Hello silkie fans!

I have one silkie, for my house pet, and I was told by someone that it was possible for them to get a respiratory worm?  Have any of you ever heard of this and/or experienced it?  How can I tell if my little fuzzy has this?  She sneezes quite a bit, it was mostly when I was holding her but I finally located a little cage for her to live in when she's not out roaming the house and put fresh shavings in it and now it seems she is sneezing even more.  She didn't have shavings before but a paper towel on the floor or burlap.  I thought maybe my laundry soap was causing it but now I don't know.

Help?

If she is just sneezing it is probably something in her inviroment.

im kind of repulsed by them but i guess ill have to get use to them! lol and what color do you think it is? and its too early to tell gender....right?

Look how cute these babies are. I never liked showgirls until I saw them in person. Look how cute.

These are from my own flock and love them already.

I thought they were so gross looking and said I would never own one and now I have a breeding roo and 3 of his chicks. I can't wait to try my roo with different colored hens.
