Silkie thread!

My new babies enjoying the beautiful weather.

sorry i meant to say that. Ive posted here and craigslist. On here in the buy sell trade, a bunch of looks but no replies/pm. Anyway i do have a beautiful blue silkie roo he just needs a new wifey lol
Cute, are you hatching eggs from this duo? If so you might be surprised by the difference in colors you might get compared to your old white hen.

I was going to get the eggs directly from her too, so maybe I'll just bite the bullet and buy pullets from her instead!
Well, that way you might actually get what you want first try.

What colors are you looking to buy?
My pullet (she's the one that has a brain issue) hatched her 4 turkey babies perfectly and is now being such a good new mother, feeding her chicks and being protective of them, even though they're not even her species

that's what I love about these birds, they're so accepting of any babies, even if they're not their own. The babies are soooo cute. The two brownish ones were quite a surprise, so far I've only hatched white chicks from my pair (hen is a royal palm, tom is a red bronze, created by a royal palm/bourbon red cross). I love their tiny fuzzy snoods

Darling, just beautiful! I love this! Give her a smooch!
These are my first ones so I have no idea, they come from nice stock, so I guess it's just a fluke.
Yep, hidden genetics never completely go away. They look cute though, and they can fill out alot too in another couple months.

i planned on breeding them but he is my only roo and silkie for that matter. Im open to other colors I just thought blue and white would be lovely. I really like buff and splash colorations.

She looks beautiful!! Have ever thought about showing her?

Omgosh! Turkeys that will think they are silkies. Adorable! Silkies remind me of the ugly ducking story. Those babies hatch out thinking they will look like momma and are very confused I'm sure ha!. so cute. I got a little better picture of Booker tonight, he kept hiding behind Ashes all day for pics. (she was the one in my previous pic out front)
Here he is...

Precious! What a beautiful silkie

Does anyone know if you can boil/cook the "clear" eggs from an incubator? They didn't develop. I thought about giving them to the chickens instead of letting them go to waste but wasn't sure they'd be safe? I have 17 eggs#!
