Hi I am planning to hatch eggs but I don't know much about them and I can't seem to find much on the Internet about it and I have a lot of questions that need answers like :
What temperature in (c) do I have the incubator
Do I ever change the temperature
How much percentage humidity
How to change the humidity
Do I ever change humidity
How to know my themometer and hygrometer are accurate
If I want 5 silkies how much eggs should I get considering some not hatching
Good websites on hatching?
Please answer the above

Also for the above comment what position do I put the eggs in
What do you have for an incubator? I recently bought my first and it came with very clear instructions on what to do. Helped me get started.

I have two white silkie roosters, one has a perfect walnut comb BUT it is more of a blue colour than mulberry. The other has a mulberry comb but it has bumps in it and is just not as nice.

I am struggling to figure out what rooster to keep for breeding... Is it easier to breed out the colour of the comb? Should I keep the rooster with a nicer comb but not the right colour? Or the one with the correct colour but not as nice of a comb?

I could also get rid of both the roosters and get another rooster but so far have not found any roosters that are better than the guys I have.

Help!

Darker is better, so it actually sounds to me like the "bluer" comb is a better colour (of course pictures would help here...a LOT). In my opinion, colour is easier to deal with than shape, so I would choose a more correctly shaped comb over one that was not as well coloured. But that really depends on 1) other comparisons between the birds, 2) characteristics of the birds they will be bred with.
