Very cute! How old are they?
I don't know much about reds but I'm pretty sure they're too light to be a red, which would make them both buffs.

they are 7 1/2 weeks old. these are my first silkies. I guess they sent me the wrong color. they were supposed to be reds..

they are just pets, so I guess it's not too big of a deal.

My two girls are broody right now. They are both sharing three eggs, switching them around from under themselves. Thirteen days left!

From what I understand a red silkie should be a deeper red, sort of like a Rhode Island Red color red. If they're pets, color doesn't matter.

yeah, I got them from ideal poultry. I ordered 2 reds 2 whites 2 blues and 2 blacks. all of the others are the right color.

I could use a little helpd. One of my favorite show hens has been a little quiet the last couple days..not really eating good. Today I found her with congested head,nose and can't tell for sure but hoping not in her chest. This really hit quick. She is one of my special "children" cause she has a huge crest and I have to lead her around to food...etc. Her eyes are running a lot too. I have had some problems with a few eye infections but they cleared up quickly. I am really worried about her and it would kill me to loose her. I have started her on Duramycin 10 but I also have sulmet. It is hard to find meds around here for poultry so we are limited. Any ideas. I am a bit desperate here.
