Just gonna start this out as a thanks to the people who responsed about smudges colour!

Can someone explain to my chicks that they need to go INSIDE the coop at night? LOL. Tomorrow will be a week for them outside, and I still have to dig them out from under the coop to put them in it. :(

When I first saw the egg I thought it looked like my Silkie crosses egg - she lays that dark of a brown.  However, it is the right size and shape for a silkie egg - so if somewhere in the distant past another darker egg breed was crossed in it is very possible it is a silkie's egg.  If you don't have any other bantams.. then it is hers!  Congratulations!
i have 3 silkies that are 18 weeks and 3 amber rocks that are also 18 week but I do have 8 red sex links that are over a year now and I have go the same egg size and color for 3 days now here is a pic of them next to my iPhone 4S otter box holder

someone please help!! My little baby I posted a pic of last night seems to be dying. She's very slow moving and easy tipped over when you touch her. I've dipped her beak on the water and forced her to drink but I don't know what else to do??!!! She won't eat at all

Have you tried sugar water/ honey water. Save a chick. Or poli vi sol with out iron ( infant vitamins)
