Silkie thread!

[Sonoran Silkies]

So I have two eggs I can't see anything on yet, one of them is a darker shell, I plan to recheck them in a day or two and see if there is any change.

One egg that looks like it has a blood ring.

One egg that has a dark blob in it, and I can't see anything else.

How long is it okay to leave these iffies in the incubator for before I should pitch them? This is my first hatch, and I'd hate to have pitched them due to inexperience and lose out on chicks.

What do you guys think about the one with the dark blob? I know blood rings are usually bad/dead, but I want to recheck it in a few days to be sure, as I'm only on day 6, and want to be positive that it IS a blood ring, and not veins forming in some odd way.

If it is a red circle, it is dead. Time won't change that. What are you using to candle, and how?

It could either be gold leakage or autosomal red. Yes, it could come from the white, but it also could come from the black or blue. Breeding to a white may remove melanizers that keep t from showing on your hens,or it could be brought in from the boy.

maybe I just need to start liking red flecks or learn not to mix colors.

There something I noticed. I don't know what it is. But its swelled a bit on lower beak. I thought canker bit its not anything like it. Its pink sore like. I don't know if he fought with roo as he can get to the other and pit head through the fence where I got him. Its gum colored little swelled not like canker of yellow weird looking. Should I just keep an eye on it?

I've got three 12 day old Silkies I thought I'd introduce:

(from left to right, blame the names on my kid)
Lumina, Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle

They were an accidental acquisition and now they are my favorites!
Cross fingers they're all girls. I can't imagine having to give away even one...
