Yes and no. Fashions come and go, so what is popular one year may not be as popular a few year later. And vice versa. So long as the variety is recognized, there are those who consider it their favourite. I would recommend those new o raiding chickens select a recognized variety before stepping off into project colours.
Hooray! My favorite is splashAnd ya know what I'm so super excited about? my 4 month old splash's are getting their splashes!! they're turning out super pretty!
Well.. that's probably me.. I LOVE Partridge you see.. so I notice them every time I see them. There are a few of us "Parti" animals here. As I said earlier on this thread and elsewhere, its not an easy color to "do right", but a few on here have some VERY nice birds! Who cares if they don't match the description quite - they sure are prettyI was just curious. I have had a few people noticing the partridge chicks. I didn't know if they were unusual or just popular. I am still anxious to see if the little cream striped ones will feather out white, or something else.
Aww! Well I love them all. I don't think I will have trouble finding homes for my pet quality ones. I am keeping the breeder quality little's. What age is recommended to wait to to see what quality I have before selling? I have a few with not the amount of toes they should have, so I know those are pet quality now. I am keeping one of my cream stripies that is short a toe just because she is adorable.Hooray!

Turned into this:
Say hello to Creme. He found a very nice home with two of his broody mates. They asked me why I named a White Silkie "Creme" because he is pure white. I explained about the golden chick.
They are very pretty! Now I am excited to have a couple! I really hope the little guy makes it. I only got two partridges out of 15 hatched eggs. We lost 3 babies and 4 eggs
Aw beautiful frizzled sizzle =D I hope my babies will get crests, mom is perfect except for lacking a crest, she's bred to silkie roosters so babies should be nice! I have 8 in lockdown now.
