yes, its true, hi speed internet is still not available everywhere! I use an aircard. We cant even get satellite internet because of the trees....and with the frequent power outtages, I keep a landline phone in case of emergency and for DHs clients.
Colie if youre (kindly) concerned about dial up users, you can copy the thumbnail edition of your pic and paste that, then those w/ faster internet can click on the pic and it expands to the larger size. You have to initially download the larger size to your photo file though.
I don't have cable , wifi, or any of the fast speed internets we don't have companies out this way where I live yet so there is no coverage so I have to settle for dial up or satellite.
The satellite during the day is slow some times as dial up but other times faster. But it don't take very long to open images. We only get really fast speed between 2 am - 5 AM and thats the only time we are allowed to down load, watch videos, listen to net radio, or watch movies but the movies are slow and pause to buffer a lot.
I am way out in the country I wish I could use a aircard I don't know where to look for them.
Ok good to know
Go check out wally-world (
walmart) for an aircard. Hughes net seem expensive to me for all the restrictions. Cricket is the cheapest but Verizon probably has the best coverage.
