Silkie thread!

Just found this thread for silkies! I must say I like my Silkies better than I do my Mille Fleurs--not that I don't love them all, but the Silkies are just quieter, get into less trouble, and are more comical to watch! I am hoping I'm posting some pictures here.

This is Baby, my newest Silkie, with Hilda, a buff Silkie

This is Twinkle, my black Silkie. I think she might be a cross with something.

The gang, Mille Fleurs and Silkies (Baby was broody then) on the patio with treats.

As a small chick it's next to impossible to even guess on sex. At a couple of weeks old sometimes I think you can guess by their attitude but really that's just a crap shoot as well lol I've noticed some of mine that turned out to be boys were the ones that were more assertive. Like the ones that didn't run to the bottom of the pile and hide when you reach in after them. Heck even the ones that try and nip at me when they aren't used to being handled. That all goes out the window though because girls can act like that too depending on the individual chick.

Right now I've got a lavender chick mixed in with my splashes as well OOPS! I banded the ones I thought were likely to be the lav so now I guess I'll just wait lol
