Silkie thread!

Hello I just purchased an adult silkie roo. He is very docile has any one ever heard of rooster that likes to be held? This guy loves to sit on my lap and petted. He could sit on my lap for hours if I let him.
Is there certain grooming measures that be to be done with silkies?

All of my silkie cockerels are super sweet, love attention and think they should be lap chickens. They also don't bicker with each other. They are also super curious. As far as special grooming I am not an expert but I check the feathers around their eyes and remove them if needed.

I know this is not the greatest picture i am hoping to get better ones soon i have been so busy. But can anyone tell me if this young silkie is a male or female? I am hoping female as i already have a male. I bought her at the NE Poultry Congress on Saturday they said a female but just making sure. If not a female he would still be loved and live his life out here on my farm.

It looks like a female to me. Interesting colour for sure.

Okay pic heavy, but here is the crew. Minus Snow and her chicks. Booker the roo Luna (molting, her beard is gone :( Dolly Suki Ashes The 3 1/2 month old kiddos..... They are so beautiful!! And I love the awesome names!! :)

Do any of you have broody experience? My girl and her chicks are in a rubbermaid tote. They are doing great and eating drinking and running around. The thing is there are still two eggs under her. Today she moved over a bit, but took the eggs with her. I had to move her back because she was sitting weird. When I moved her I heard chirping coming from one of the eggs. The other four hatched on Saturday, they were a day early, the ones under her now were a day younger than the others and today is a day late to hatch. So they aren't terribly late, but I am concerned she will get off of them before they hatch. Although when I moved her back she nestled down on the eggs. Can she hear the chirping from that egg? I have been really anxious waiting for these last two eggs to hatch.
