Silkie thread!

Could this little paint in the foreground be a frizzle? I don't see how it's possible, both parents are silkies.

They are just reaching that awkward stage, when their little bodies are outgrowing their chick fluff.

Exhibit A.

Bringing them from warm too cold repeatedly is fraught with danger. My advice is leave them out or bring them in. Perhaps if you put it off until the weather is a little more predictable.

Understood, it's pretty miserable outside right now, so we're opting to keep them in until the weather breaks. It's supposed to normalize Sunday and should maintain a more spring like trend.
I guess what I was wondering is what can they tolerate temperature wise at 12 weeks of age?

Any ideas what this could be on my splash baby? I noticed it the other day. Its completely bald. She's one of the biggest chicks in the group so it would be odd if she were being picked on. They seem to all get along great so what in the world could this be? Oh and her crop is huge because she just finished pigging out on boiled egg lol.

At 12 weeks of age mine are treated as adults. Our night time temps here in the winter average about 4-6 degrees Celsius , with the occasional -3-4 . So long as they have buddies to snuggle up to and a draft free dry place to sleep. Mine go outside at 6 weeks.
