Do you think ringworm would look like a ring and be flakey? Because her bald spot is not flakey at all. Its just warm and bald and kinda a weird shape kinda extending a lil ways up her neck and gets narrower. Almost reminds me of a showgirl chick lol. But obviously thats not what she is. I just noticed this a few days ago. But I dont know how long she'd actually had it.You can get betadine at any drugstore. If you can use lotramin on a chick that would be good as its an antifungal. And you guys can use the lotramin if it is and you get it. When you treat a ringworm spot its super important to get the spot and a bit of the outside perimeter. It can take up to two weeks to see improvement, at least in people. But do some research on using the lotramin on chicks to be sure its safe. I would avoid the sprays and only use the cream.
Betadine runs about 11.00 a bottle but its great to have around just in case. I had a Redsexlink chick get grabbed by a cat. I immediately doused the wound with water and then poured some betadine into the wounds. She never even got an infection, that is impressive as cat bites are horrible.
Its just soft normal looking skin. Its just bald lol Weirdest thing ive ever seen lol.
The pic appears to be in sepia. Can you post a pic with natural light and colour?![]()
This approx 6 week old pullet, I'm saying its a pullet cause I think she is, came from my 3 year silver partridge project. She was born with the correct color & markings. I just want a confirmation that she is indeed a silver partridge...I finally think, I also have a couple of boys....I've been searching and couldn't find any breeding boys, so made my own...

That first one looks to be crossed.
She's from an unrelated batch of babies that arent as nice a quality as my others but I got her anyway hoping she might bloom. I have been hoping to see more of a crest on her but I havent seen any trace of one yet and I am not sure she's going to have much of one when she's an adult so I am thinking about selling her and waiting till I find one that does. I am a huge fan of the heavily bearded/crested silkies obviously
I can only have a limited number so I am thinking of parting with her. She's so sweet though, and followed me around outside while I was taking pics of her. I just wish she were fluffier. What do you guys think? Oh gee! Those babies are precious! :> one day I'll have a paint:} not too sure about your question tho, just wanted to comment on how cute they are lol
Ya?? ThanksNice little body type showing off here.Just waiting for that little tail to fluff up more.![]()
I wasent sure if this posture was too roo like or not lol. I really really hope she's a female. I chose the one that resembled the mother the most. The other two were bigger and more slender then her and they didnt have any poofy cheeks at all where the mom did, but their dad didnt. She was the only one with her moms poofy cheeks. She also didnt walk as tall, and just seemed very girly when I first picked her up. She has alot of character now though lol. I hope she is a female
I just wish I saw more of a poof startin to grow on her head lol.
