Silkie thread!

If you ever get a chance GO! to Columbus for the National. IT is off the hook! We went last year, the birds showed really well, won a bunch, but the sales area was insane! A sea of birds moving in and out at the speed og light! I was telling someone about some birds behind me, we turned around and the whole pen was GONE!!!! I sold out superfast, hubby couldn't get the cages in the door, they were selling that fast. When you win there, that is a win!

April, it sounds like a great show! Was that your husband making those great cages at the Susquehanna show? They were really nice sized.

I'm seriously thinking about going to Ohio. There is a big flower show I attend every Nov. , in Owega, N.Y. and I've been telling everyone I'm not going , I've cleared my schedule.

I would really like to see the lavender silkie turnout in Oklahoma but that is so far....

Brenda, she I have a long list of all the names labeled on the eggs. I will record the names tuesday of the eggs developed. Tuesday is lockdown! That will narrow down my list. I have about 10 good eggs right now. We will have too see! The air sacs in them look really funny though. Really weird shape, is this common with shipped eggs? Hope they hatch out alright!

These are my babies! the white pullet is named Izetta and the Cuckoo-maran cockrel is named Evan

She was retired after these shows, and after a year of being in the breeder pen, got a bath the day before and went to the York show to win Reserve Of Breed against some Very nice birds.
And just this past weekend, she ventured back to her home grounds to Lucasville Ohio to the APA Semi Annual at the Southern Ohio Show to take Best Of Breed and Champion Featherleg against some Awesome birds including "Bubba" the beautiful 2008 Shawnee Nationals Reserve Of Breed winning white cock bred by Deb Steinberg & owned by Tyler Messer. ( So nice to see this great bird in person & to finally meet Tyler!)

This is Dock son of Hokey Pokey. If he thinks there is danger he will growl like a dog. Does any one elses rooster do this?
