Ya that's what I meant lol roo and hen my bad. It's hard to tell at so young, why do you think what you think?I think boy and girl.
they look so different. One is larger, comb coming in is different, I think I see wattles, one has a Mohawk. ..Ya that's what I meant lol roo and hen my bad. It's hard to tell at so young, why do you think what you think?

I am pretty sure I am spot on...which is ok as I wanted to breed silkies. Will need to get some more girls tho...thats too bad lol!!!!I think you have a great comparison there! Looks like a boy and a girl.![]()
honestly mine is based on gut instincts. ..pretty sure I am right AND this round am ok with it...have a Buff Orp roo that cares for my flock. Silkies and Polish are/will be separated for breedingSo how do you tell a boy from a girl in silkies? I have 5 and am completely confused. Some of mine have combs, only one is growing a decent Mohawk at this point, one has a little round head with no comb, yet a friend up the road who has lots of chickens told me they are ALL girls. I'm so lost. They are around 3 months old-ish. (bought them from Tractor Supply) LOVE them though! They are SO sweet!!
