Ok so they are 6weeks now...pretty sure one of each??
As in pullet and hen? One of my little 4 week silkies started crowing the other day! Never since my chicks heard the big boys start crowing they all decide to do it at like weeks of age

So how do you tell a boy from a girl in silkies? I have 5 and am completely confused. Some of mine have combs, only one is growing a decent Mohawk at this point, one has a little round head with no comb, yet a friend up the road who has lots of chickens told me they are ALL girls. I'm so lost. They are around 3 months old-ish. (bought them from Tractor Supply) LOVE them though! They are SO sweet!!

honestly mine is based on gut instincts. ..pretty sure I am right AND this round am ok with it...have a Buff Orp roo that cares for my flock. Silkies and Polish are/will be separated for breeding

I'm pretty sure one of mine is a rooster at least. The one with a Mohawk. I've named him "Amigo". The smallest silkie I have with no comb and a little round head, "Sweetie", seems to be Amigo's obsession. LOL. If one of the other silkies gets near her, Amigo will run over to her, fight the other silkie away and then give Sweetie a quick peck in the head. Doesn't seem to hurt her....just one little tap, like he's saying, "hey...you're my girl!"....then he walks her away from the others. It's pretty funny to watch, and this alone will blow my mind if Amigo ends up being a girl!! I am really new to chickens, so sorry if I seem to have no idea about any of this, but I do at least think Amigo is a rooster and Sweetie is a hen......I think.....
