Thank you. She was born wry necked and is all healed up now. Thank goodness for poly vi sol! I have no idea what color she is, but after all the time it took to get her better, I have a pretty ,major attachment to her. I hope she is a girl.I love seeing pictures of your silkies! These Silkies came from Idea. My older Silkie I got last year as a chick from there went broody at about a year old.
Just wanted to get some options on this..
I am going to be making a larger pen extension area outside of the chickens run for when the weather is nice to give them even more room and the area they will be on is hard dirt with some dead weeds & small rocks (No grass). They will have to be confined to this area, since I cannot let them out in the yard anymore due to my dog eating their poop and getting sick Ughh. I was thinking of either leaving it as it is, or putting a couple wheel barrows of dried out horse manure down on it to soften it up, and give them something to dig in, and do whatever they do. But not sure if the dried out manure is going to be too I dunno dirty, or carry parasites that they shouldnt have or something? Should I put some down, or just leave it as is with the hard dirt ground?
