Hey im somewhat new to chickens and i just bought my first 15 week silkie. Shes super cute and sits in your lap but i noticed her feet/talons (i dont know what you all call them) are very strange and was wondering if i should be worried at all ?

her toes or off the the side it might be normal but compaired to my other chickens its very strange. Sorry i had a hard time trying to get a pic

My Silkie chickens' toes are off to the side like that. The last 2 just kinda hang there, they don't seem to use them much when walking.

It was almost 100 degrees here a couple nights ago and decided to take the chicks outside for a few minutes. Also got a video of the older chickens greeting the littles. Was really funny!

My Silkie chickens' toes are off to the side like that. The last 2 just kinda hang there, they don't seem to use them much when walking.

This is a sure sign of vitamin deficiency. A vitamin supplement added to the flocks water once a week would be beneficial . Whilst you can't undo the damage you may avoid other complications like wry neck.
