Silkie thread!

Im off work today so I kept her in the house with me while the kids were at school. I got all the pred. in her. She is some better than last night and this am. She can hold her head up. Its not completely straight and she looses her balance and starts thrashing. I can hold her in front of the water and she can drink on her own. She also took a couple of bites of food so I'm taking that as a good sign.

I'm so happy you are seeing a difference already! Keep up the good work!

Is there a standard for how tall a Silkie should be?
Sam is a bit taller than my EE hens but not as heavy nor would I say as heavily built.

The lady I did a swap with told me her Silkies are about 12 inches high. Sam was in a 15 inch high cage and still stooped a little. Is he the size of a large fowl? He's only 5 months old so I would imagine not quite fully grown.

Well this am she was laying in the box again. I held her up and she drank water, but still isn't interested in food. I'm going to give her electrolytes when I get home this afternoon along with the pred. Should I leave her in that small trash can all the time? I've been moving her to a larger box at night and when I'm gone.

Some pictures of my babies! They are really growing up. Now I need to decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell... :( Can't keep them all, unfortunately!
