I have a question for you more exsperianced silkie lovers, I have silkies well past the age of laying eggs, I know these birds are more " delicate" for lack of a better word, any ideas as to why they may not be laying ?
I*Sigh* I am too far from you and my son would probably have a fit if I did. LOL He has already threatened to leave home if I buy more but he's going to be 21 in Oct. Time he lived on his own anyways. Of course, I still have my incubator. Hehehehehe

I know what you mean! My family thinks I'm nuts. They couldn't believe I carried a chick around in my bra for awhile to warm it up because the Moma hen was busy eating and not sitting yet and it had just hatched I had to help it. It was crying until I put it in my bra then happy sounds and snuggled right in. Yes I'm called the crazy chicken lady like many of us here. I just don't know what's wrong with them. Lol
