Starting to see beautiful green feathers in this ones tail. I know you can't see it in this picture but I thought it was cute opening its wings. Does the green mean boy?

Yes, beetle green means boy.

Will keep you posted when I'm 100% sure of the sex(i.e.crowing or if I luck out -eggs) But thank you everyone! I figure you are the ones that will know.

It that pad/comb stays smooth...it's a girl..... i have a hen with a large smooth pad/comb, same type crest etc. looks just like your bird.... so keep your fingers crossed

One, two and three look like Roo's.... The comb/pads are bumpy....female silkie comb/pad stays smooth. The silkie rooster's comb will start developing folds, bumps and start look like a walnut . Hope this helps

Right now they look different then my white silkie rooster but this is my first time having silkie chicken hope to learn more about them I have 1 white rooster 4 unknown black sex 5 unknown blue sex

I do think this one is a boy with the beetle green in tail and wings. Here's some pics of him this morning try as I might I can't get the green to show in the photo.

Here is another black on I have that I am pretty sure is a girl and I do see beetle green high lights on her tail and wigs to, not as much as the other one. Again hard to see in the pic.
