I keep going back to the brooder to take a very long peek at them haha. They're so funny!

That's so awesome! They don't get too cold? I was so afraid to take them out of the brooder but I have been handling them. Yours looks like my Lil One. She's so tiny compared to the others.

Your body temp is plenty warm, it like you are a heating pad for them. You can tuck them under your shirt or on your shoulder up against your neck. You can watch them and they will tell you big they get chilly but as long as they can make contact with your skin they stay plenty warm.

I would start by worming her. She sounds as though she has neurological problems and this can be a result of thiamine and or vitamin E ( selenium ) deficiency. So a good poultry multi vitamin like nutri drench , certainly wouldn't hurt.
If you Feel that her symptoms fit coccocidiosis then it would be best to use dimethox /sulfadimethoxine-Albion as apposed to amprolium/corid as the thiamin inhibitor in corid may make her symptoms worse.
All I have is corrid. She is on day 3 of that. I've been wanting to give her vitamin E but didn't know if it was safe to do both. I was giving her poly vi sol and 1/4 81mg aspirin. I started with multi vitamins the vet gave me for another chicken. Then when I looked at the label it has iron in it so I went and got poly vi sol. Her tongue was pale before I started her on the first vitamins and after 2 days it turned pink. Then when I started the poly vi sol it turned white again. So I went back to the first vitamin. I haven't been giving her any vitamins for 3 days because I didn't know if I could while giving corrid.. Then I tried the corrid. She is doing well with the tube feeding. She opens her beak when I touch the sides now. I'm using a small syringe with no needle of course. She is pretty strong in her legs but just can't walk. She nearly jumped out of my lap as i was getting her food ready tonight. I caught her in mid air. She seems like she's dizzy. Her head will lay on her back and when she raises it up it slowly goes down in front of her streched out. Sometimes curled under. When she's full she stomps her feet.

I was gonna offer to help but I'm to far away and not in the path of your traveling. I'm sorry. Best of luck! Hope you find someone to help you, but more then that I hope she recovers.

Question... Is she on meds? How many? You might want to try taking her off everything and starting over. To manybmeds could be messing her up worse

I am having a delimma. The pullet I've been tube feeding is not getting better. Actually she can't even walk backwards anymore. She has to flop her wings just to get herself in a different position. Her thinking seems to be ok, it's her body that wont cooperate. I"ve decided to try worming her for cocci first then will worm for round worms. Last year I put down several birds that looked like they had Mereks and it turned out to be worms when I had a necropsy done. I have 3 1/2 weeks to get her where she can get around and eat and drink on her own. I"m going out of town becaue my brother is having brain surgery and I'll be gone for almost a week and there is nobody that can take care of her like she needs. She will just die, starve to death in her own poo. Thats no way for anything to go.

My plan is to keep trying to get her better till I have to go and if she can't do what she will need to be able to do I'll put her down quick so she won't suffer while I'm gone. I have gotten so attached to her and it will be very hard but necessary. I will be going to northern Indiana. I"m hoping there is somebody that reads this that can and will tend to her for me. I may be just prolonging the inevitable. Thats why I'm asking you all for advice.

My plans for this pullet was to possibly show her then in September when the St. Jude fund raiser is going on I was going to pair her up with another very nice silkie boy and donate them for the auction to raise money for St. Jude. I donate birds every year and wanted to donate a pair this time instead of all boys. The pair would bring more money for the fund raiser than just boys will. Last year they went for $60 each and like I said they where all boys. I saw a cake go for $250.00. These people at this all weekend fund raiser have no problem reaching deep into their wallets and purses. This pullet is being saved for a good cause. I could use some help keeping her alive and back to good health. I can use any and all advice I can get.

What should I do? What would you do?

Just for stressful times like this I sought out a vet in advance that sees chickens. He will even board them if they have to stay overnight in his office. No one, even another chicken lover, can really understand your sweet girl and her "off" signs better than yourself. I am so sorry for your dilemma.
